Soon, we'll be migrating to our new digs. We're getting excited! We'll be adding forums, member profiles, an activity stream, polls, and more. Stay tuned! The migration will require that you set new passwords for your account, but we'll get an email out to help you though the migration in a few days.

DfGO's Women's Initiative Update

Our first Women's Introductory Shoot was, by all accounts, a huge success. We want to give a special thanks to our Sponsors, H&K, G3 Tactical, Pony Express, and Studio Berto Huste.

DfGO's Women's Initiative!

Welcome to DfGO’s Women’s Initiative ladies. What was once taboo, for women to own firearms and certainly within our own party , is now closer to common place. And for that there is cause to celebrate! Times have changed, with many households consisting of single women with children we must stand up and take on the roles of provider, nurturer and protector! The goal of our Women’s Initiative is to inform you about new products that are “female-friendly” as well as provide information on special events and news. We are here for YOU!

Did you know that civilians throughout our country use firearms to stop over two million crimes each year?1 In less than two percent of these cases are shots ever fired.2 WOW! And, while everyone would rather that crime would just go away, the truth is that eighty- three percent of Americans will be a victim of violent crime in their lifetime.3 Taking informed measures to protect you and your family can make all the difference. Twenty- seven percent of victims who made no effort of self protection were injured in a violent attack, but only five percent of gun-defenders suffered injury.4 These statistics, and the many more out there like them, only enforce our decision to be a gun-totin’ Democratic woman in America today. Even if some of us don’t care to own a firearm, for whatever reason, we support another woman’s choice to do so.

Our rights to gun ownership under the Second Amendment are being threatened today, often from our own party. Ladies, our voice is strong! Let your Representatives know that you will NOT give up this freedom. That it IS your right to protect yourselves and your families. And, that you WILL do something about it. Then get moving! Start by talking to your friends and relatives, organize a women’s shooting club in your area or come to a DfGO Women’s Shooting Clinic.

Our last DfGO certified Women’s Shooting Clinics was August 7,2010 in beautiful Coeur d’ Alene, ID @ The Fernan Rod & Gun Club. Stay posted here for future events gals. We'd love to have you join us!
